ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE 15 JULY 2025

Abstract Format

  1. All abstracts must be submitted exclusively to email :[email protected].
  2. Submitted abstracts must be original and should not have been previously published or presented at any other conference.
  3. Each abstract will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
  4. Accepted abstracts will be published and made available during the meeting.
  5. Abstracts must be submitted by the stated deadline. Submissions received after the deadline may not be considered. .

Abstract Preparation

  1. The abstract title should be in lowercase, with only the first letter of the first word capitalized.
  2. Keep the title concise and relevant, clearly reflecting the nature of the investigation.
  3. Do not include academic degrees, titles, or institutional appointments of the authors.
  4. The first author listed will be considered the presenting author at the conference.
  5. Please include the city and country where the study was conducted.
  6. Indicate your preferred style of presentation:
    Oral
    Poster
    Either oral or poster

The final decision on the presentation style will be made by the Program Committee.

Abstract Content Requirements

Each abstract must include the following components:

  1. A brief statement outlining the purpose of the study
  2. A description of the methods used in the investigation
  3. A summary of the results, presented with sufficient detail to support the conclusions
  4. The conclusions drawn from the study

Please note: Abstracts stating “The results will be discussed” will not be accepted.

Important : Do not include any figures or tables in your abstract.

Presenting Author Responsibilities

The individual submitting the abstract must designate one author as the Presenter. The Presenter will act as the primary point of contact for all communications related to the abstract. It is the Presenter’s responsibility to inform all co-authors about the acceptance status of the abstract and to collect conflict of interest disclosures from each co-author.

  2. Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders: Studies focusing on diagnosis, management, and treatment.
  3. Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases: Insights into acute management, rehabilitation, and prevention.
  4. Neuroimmunology and Autoimmune Neurological Disorders: Investigations into conditions like multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica.
  5. Neuromuscular Disorders: Research on diseases affecting peripheral nerves and muscles.
  6. Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology:Studies on dementia, cognitive impairments, and behavioral syndromes.
  7. Neuroinfectious Diseases: Research on infections affecting the nervous system, including emerging pathogens.
  8. Headache and Pain Disorders: Advancements in understanding and managing chronic headaches and neuropathic pain.
  9. Neurocritical Care: Management strategies for critically ill neurological patients.
  10. Neurogenetics and Rare Neurological Disorders: Genetic studies and research on rare conditions.

Neurosurgery

  1. Vascular Neurosurgery: Techniques and outcomes related to aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and stroke interventions.
  2. Spinal Neurosurgery: Advancements in treating degenerative diseases, spinal tumors, and trauma.
  3. Neuro-Oncology: Surgical approaches to brain tumors, including gliomas and meningiomas.
  4. Functional Neurosurgery: Procedures like deep brain stimulation for movement disorders and epilepsy.
  5. Pediatric Neurosurgery: Surgical management of neurological conditions in children.
  6. Skull Base Surgery:Approaches to lesions located at the skull base, including endoscopic techniques.
  7. Trauma and Critical Care:Management of traumatic brain injuries and neurosurgical emergencies.
  8. Stereotactic and Image-Guided Neurosurgery:Use of imaging technologies to enhance surgical precision.

Neurointervention

Authors are encouraged to select the category that best aligns with their research focus. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reassign abstracts to a more appropriate category if necessary.

Best Abstract Award HISS 2025

Awardees must meet the following criteria:

  1. A healthcare professional (e.g., doctor, nurse, therapist, medical social worker, pharmacist, dietitian, neuropsychologist, etc.) or a researcher
  2. Currently working in a low-income country (LIC) or lower-middle-income country (LMIC), as classified by the World Bank
  3. Has an abstract accepted for presentation at the conference as the first author, following review by the International Scientific Committee

Announcement

  1. The list of awardees will be announced in the closing ceremony of HISS 2025.

Prize

  1. The awardee must be present and physically receive the award during the closing ceremony
  2. Only 1 award will be presented to an awardee
